- Speech Therapy
Americare’s Speech Therapists work with patients in improving their communication skills. Speech treatment includes: speech drills, swallowing exercises, cognitive exercises, vocabulary enhancement and articulation exercises.
- Home Health Aides and Personal Care Aides
Americare Home Health Aides and Personal Care Aides work with the skilled nurse to provide custodial care. They can also assist with daily living activities and in managing patient’s medication schedule. At times, home health aides form Americare and personal care aides are assigned to monitor the patient’s health and report back to the skilled nurse or physician if any significant changes take place. Their support is crucial in the efficiency of the care plan.
